New Hire Reporting
Federal and State law requires employers to report newly hired and re-hired employees in West Virginia to the West Virginia New Hire Reporting Center.
You must report the following information:
Employer
Federal Employer ID Number
Employer Name
Employer Address
Employee
Social Security Number
Legal name
Address
Start Date
State of hire (if reporting as a multi-state employer)
You can report online with the WV New HIre Reporting center. To do so, visit West Virginia to the West Virginia New Hire Reporting Center and click on Register and create your account.
You may report electronically using an exported file from your payroll software that meets layout specifications. You may also send the West Virginia New Hire Reporting Form to:
